Pakistan wins the 1st T20 match against New Zealand by 49 runs on Thursday November 12 at Abu Dhabi. It was a good come back for Pakistan after loosing the 3 match ODI series against New Zealand. Pakistan showed a brilliant performance in 1st T20 under their skipper Afridi in both Batting and Bowling against New Zealand. Imran Nazir made his first half-century since returning from the ICL.
New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum who had won the toss elected to field first but New Zealand’s poor bowling performance allowed Pakistan to score a big total of 161 runs in 1st T20 match. New Zealand have missed their regular skipper Vettori and a in-form bowler Kyle Millls. Imran Nazir(58) batted well in Pakistan innings and also at the end Razzak scored quick 26 runs in just 15 balls to help Pakistan to set a target of 162 runs.
New Zealand batting was very poor, they have lost four wickets in just 41 runs, their skipper McCullum was able to score only 19 runs. Abdur Razzak showed brilliant bowling performance at 1st T20 to help Pakistan to defeat New Zealand, he took 2 wickets by giving just 9 runs.
